Overview

Engaging with nature is vital for our mental health as human beings. We are a part of nature, and it impacts on us. In secondary schools, there is tendency, due to academic pressure and focus to not fully utilise access to nature and the outdoors in a time where this is most needed to support the full benefits to our mental health. Mental Health challenges in adolescence have escalated in recent years.

This workshop will explore the science behind why we as human beings benefit from connection with Nature and animals and why this intervention/ approach is much under needed and can be accessed in secondary schools.
